Graduate Acoustics Consultant

Graduate Acoustic Consultant – Make Some Noise (Professionally)

Ready to turn your love of physics, maths, or acoustics into a career that gets you out of the classroom and into the real world?

We’re on the lookout for a bright, enthusiastic graduate to join our clients acoustic consultancy team — and no, this isn’t a desk-bound, number-crunching-only kind of job (unless you want it to be sometimes).

🔊 What You’ll Be Doing

From day one, you’ll get hands-on experience in the fascinating world of sound. Think:

  • Heading out on site to carry out real-world noise surveys
  • Testing sound insulation in brand-new buildings
  • Building 3D noise models (yes, it’s as cool as it sounds)
  • Turning your findings into professional reports
  • Visiting projects across rural, urban and industrial locations throughout the UK

One week you could be measuring environmental noise in the countryside. The next? Working on a major city-centre development.

🚀 Big Projects. Real Impact.

As you grow, you won’t just assist — you’ll lead.

You’ll manage projects from start to finish and collaborate with some of the UK’s top architects, engineers, developers and construction teams. We work on high-profile, landmark developments — including some of the most iconic residential buildings in Europe.

You won’t just observe great projects. You’ll help shape how they sound.

🌱 What We’re Looking For

  • A degree in Acoustics or a closely related subject (Maths, Physics, Engineering, Music Technology, etc.)
  • Strong A-Levels in maths and science
  • A friendly, confident personality — someone who can talk just as comfortably with clients as with colleagues
  • A driving licence and access to a car (or close to getting one)

If you’re curious, practical, and enjoy both problem-solving and people-facing work, you’ll fit right in.

🎓 Support & Development

You won’t be thrown in at the deep end. You’ll receive:

  • One-to-one mentoring
  • Structured training within an experienced consultancy team
  • Clear progression towards managing your own projects

🏡 Hybrid Working

After successfully completing your probationary period, you’ll have the flexibility of hybrid working, with a typical pattern of two days per week in the office and the remainder working from home or on site, depending on project needs.

💼 The Perks (and the Fun Stuff)

  • Competitive salary
  • Group bonus scheme
  • Private health insurance
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Salary sacrifice pension
  • Casual Fridays
  • Regular social events — including team running club and their much-loved curry club

We work hard, support each other, and make sure there’s plenty of opportunity to unwind together too.

If you’re ready for a career that blends science, technology, travel, teamwork and real-world impact — and you like the idea of literally shaping the soundscape of modern buildings — this could be the perfect start.
